St Joseph's first Junior House Chess Tournament got off to an excellent start on Friday, with five games taking place. Year 8 students Aron, Luada-Kadahl and Hayden managed to comfortably win their games against their Year 7 opponents, but the upset of the round was Year 7 Muhammet managing to defeat skilled Year 8 player, Daniel.

Students who were unable to participate in the first round are more than welcome to participate from Round 2. Games will take place each Friday during Term 1, with the winner being crowned after the last round on 1 April.
