Enrolments

Enrolment for Year 7 opens early in the year when a boy is in Grade 6. We welcome all boys from all Primary Schools to join our community, Year 7 enrolments for 2025 are now open.

First-round offers are made towards the end of June. Late enrolments may be taken, however, depending on the number of places available, late applicants may be placed on a waiting list. The College does not hold entrance examinations.

Places are awarded using the College SJC Enrolment Policy and Guidelines Parents will be notified via email of the outcome of their enrolment. If we receive more applications than available places, our SJC Enrolment Policy and Guidelines will be followed.

Please see link to a template of the College Enrolment Agreement A copy of the Enrolment Agreement will be provided to families, generated through Digistorm, the College’s Online Enrolment Portal, when they receive their offer of enrolment.

Enrolments for Years 8 – 12 2024 & 2025 can be applied for at any time of the year by filling out the application form below

Student & Parent Codes of Conduct

As a student and family at St Joseph’s College you will be required to understand that the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a central and fundamental responsibility of our school. We aim to create a child-safe and child-friendly environment where children are free to enjoy life to the full without any concern for their safety. There is particular attention paid to the most vulnerable children, including 

  • First Nations children,
  • Children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, 
  • Children with a disability. 

To support this families and students are required to understand and comply with the SJC Code of Conduct (Parent)  ) and the SJC Code of Conduct (Students)

Non-Catholic Applicants

Non-Catholic applicants are welcome to apply for enrolment at St Joseph's and are catered for in our SJC Enrolment Policy and Guidelines. The number of places available is always determined by the volume of applications from both Catholic and Non-Catholic applicants each year.

Overseas Students

St Joseph's College Geelong does not engage any agents within the context of the College's obligations under Section 21A of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000.

Conditions of Enrolment

Students are expected to participate fully in the Curriculum Program of the College, which also includes:
• Religious Education Program up to and including Year 12
• Retreats and Renewals
• Sporting Days (Swimming/Athletics/Cross Country)
• College Representative Teams (eg Music, Choir, ACC sport, etc)
• School Excursions
• School Camps
• Special Events (e.g. Edmund Rice Day)
• Community Service

Parents/Guardians & Students are to support the College in its application of policies and expectations and must read and understand the College Policies:
