Congratulations to Henry (Harry) B in Year 11, Henry has been selected in the Australian Men's emerging Indoor Hockey Squad. He’s been playing field hockey from 6 years old. He’s a member of Newtown and playing Indoor and Field Hockey in Men's premier league for Altona. He has been selected in 14 State teams for Indoor and field Hockey representing Victoria at National Championships since the age of 10. He is currently undergoing State training for the Field Hockey Nationals in Cairns in April. It is exciting news about his selection in the Australian Men's emerging squad for Indoor, considering the last two National Championships were cancelled due to COVID-19.

A number of our St Joseph's boys were recently selected to represent both Geelong and Victoria in Touch Football, most recently being awarded Junior State Champions.

Noah S – Year 7

Rory D - Year 9

Emmanuel V - Year 9

Sam K - Year 10

Bowen D - Year 11

Noah (U12s), Rory and Bowen were selected to represent Victoria Storm in the U14 and U16 age groups and travelled to South Australia on the weekend of 15 January for a touch tournament held in Mt Gambier.

Noah and Emmanuel were selected to represent Geelong U14s at Touch Football Victoria's Junior State Cup held in Ballarat on Sunday 27 February, the U14s won out amongst very stiff competition and were awarded State Champions.

Rory, Sam and Bowen played up in the U18 Division and were also successful against their teams, making it through to the Grand Final in the afternoon and winning against a strong Melbourne-based team, also being awarded State Champions.

Great achievement from all five boys, who were fantastic ambassadors for the College.
