WE DID IT. The ACC Division one Athletics cup is coming down the highway for the very first time in our rich school’s history. Not only that, the Junior and Middle years cups are back in our cabinets.

The team represented themselves and the school at the highest level. Winning the day with 329 total points, taking victory by a tight 10 points over the four in a row winning Parade College. The Athletics team was united and supportive of all events regardless of result which lead to a comradery that won’t be forgotten. With our team's success, we won 19, came second in 19 and third in 10 events throughout the day.

In the Under 13s, Oska R lead our attack winning the 100m and 200ms.

In the Under 14s, Max R won the Hurdles, Xavier C won both the 800m and 1500m. Tobias S was dominant on the day winning the 100m, 400m, High Jump will placing in Long Jump, Discus and was the final leg in our 4x100m second placing with Dom P who also won the Triple Jump, Lucas S and Jaxon C.

In the Under 15s, Lenny A won both the 800m and 1500m, Simeon T won the Hurdles, and Kye S won both the Discus and Shot Put.

In the Under 16s, Massimo P won the 100m, 200m and broke the ACC U16s Hurdles record running a lightning-fast 13.59.

In the Under 17s, Ricky R lead the way winning the Triple Jump but also in an equally fantastic effort, helped younger age groups learn how to do the Triple Jump properly. Joel C also stepped up to the plate with many late outs competing in 6 events for the day and placing second in two of them.

In our Senior age group, Jarvis M who shared the ACC Athletics Captaincy with Jai M came first in Discus and Second in the Shot put.

Thanks to Will Newton, Jack Jenkins, Mark Kennedy, Sam McKew and Matt Manley who without their help managing athletes on the day and sporting event, days like this cannot happen. A Special thanks also to Bryson Milverton and Lachie Doak who as always as directors of sport, go above and beyond with their support, organisation and effort.

Overall, an amazing day on and off the track and field. One that will be remembered, and one that will never be taken away from the group, being the first-ever Joeys Boys Division One Athletics winners.
