Parents and Friends

Throughout 2023 the P&F events along with the incredibly generous support of our St Joseph’s community we have been able to support students through First Aid and RSA qualifications, ManCave for the Year 10 boys and for the College Bursary Program. All of these have enabled growing opportunities for our Joeys boys to thrive and set them up for success in the wider world.

Some of the P&F events throughout the year included the Trivia Night that had such a great atmosphere and competitive spirit amongst the teams! The Comedy Night had a re-invention being held in the PAC in August. Despite a hiccup with the lead comedian coming down with gastro 3 hours before the event, due to some quick thinking we were still able to offer 3 very talented and funny comedians that were enjoyed by all who came along.

The major P&F fundraising event, the annual Fashion Dinner was held in October at Mount Duneed Estate. With the sun shining, cocktails and delicious canapes out in the gorgeous gardens it was a perfect start to the evening. 180 guests were entertained by the stunning models, including some special appearances from SJC staff, and we were able to reach our fundraising goal and raise $17,000 to take the total fundraising efforts for Kensekka to over $300,000.

I want to thank all those that attended P&F meetings throughout the year, bringing fresh perspectives and new ideas and looking forward to what new initiatives and success we can bring in 2024! Wishing you and your families a safe and happy Christmas holiday period.
