Year 7 Laptop Procedures

IF YOU ARE LEAVING SJC PERMANENTLY

• You MUST return laptop and charger.

• You will be charged for any repairs or missing items

• You do NOT get to keep this old laptop

STUDENTS LEAVING EARLY FOR HOLIDAYS

• Students leaving early must drop-off laptop beforehand.

• Back up everything to a storage device kept at home.

• All H drives will be cleared so do not backup to H drive.

• Students MUST remove all items and chargers from laptop bags

PROCEDURES FOR STUDENTS RETURNING NEXT YEAR

• Year 7 - Drop-off Friday 4 December, Homeroom Period, H003.

• Pick-up Wednesay 30 January, 8:00am -- 4:00pm from the Edmund Rice Campus Gymnasium

Parents will be contacted by the YLC if laptops are not returned

Year 8 Laptop Procedures

• Cost to purchase laptop $350 (if you have had this laptop for the past 2 years)

PROCEDURES FOR STUDENTS RETURNING NEXT YEAR

• Friday 4 December - Period 4 - drop off old laptops into vehicle outside the Gym at Westcourt Campus

• Pick-up Wednesday 27 January -- Thursday 28 January, 8:00am -- 4:00pm from Edmund Rice Campus Gymnasium or on the first day back at school 2021 from the ICT office at Westcourt Campus

Parents will be contacted by the YLC if laptops are not returned.

Year 9 Laptop Procedures

OLD LAPTOPS

• Old laptops get reimaged without school software and settings
• No repairs are done after they are dropped off -- only reimaging occurs
• If you have been at SJC for the past 3 years with this laptop, you will have the laptop reimaged and returned at no cost

IF YOU HAVE BEEN AT SJC FOR LESS THAN 3 YEARS

• You MUST return laptop and charger.
• You will be charged for any repairs or missing items
• You do NOT get to keep this old laptop
• Cost to purchase laptop $350 (if you have had this laptop for the past 2 years)

STUDENTS LEAVING EARLY FOR HOLIDAYS

• New laptops might not be ready if you are leaving early
• Students leaving early must drop-off laptop beforehand to the ICT Centre
• Back up everything to a storage device kept at home
• Students MUST remove all items and chargers from laptop bags

IF YOU HAVE BEEN AT SJC FOR 3 YEARS

• Remove chargers from laptop bags
• Remove all items from laptop bags
• Laptops MUST have TekSkin as names are needed for reimaging and returning laptops to correct people

PROCEDURES FOR STUDENTS RETURNING NEXT YEAR

• Monday 30 November - Period 1 - drop off old laptop to H002 at the Edmund Rice Campus and then collect new laptop from H003
• New laptop can only be collected if old laptop has been handed in.
• Pick-up old laptop Friday 4 December, 12:30pm to end of the day in Edmund Rice Campus Gymnasium or collect on the first day of Term 1 2021.
• Parents will be contacted by the YLC if laptops are not returned.

Year 10 Laptop Procedures

• Pick-up Monday 14 December 8:00am -- 4:00pm

Parents will be contacted by the YLC if laptops are not returned.

Year 11 Laptop Procedures

As we near the end of the school year it is important that you understand your requirements for your laptops.

As a current Year 11 student your laptop is NOT reimaged with a software refresh.

However. Ensure you have a backup of your Data.

Please see that ALL Warranty repairs are carried out prior to the start of class 2021. (The ICT office will be open over the summer break. Use [email protected] to make contact via email.)

Non Warranty repairs can be done over the summer break but Warranty repairs will be prioritised.
