The 2024 Junior Band Academy Kicked off on 28 February with an enthusiastic group of Year 7 students. 35 young musicians began their journey with the SJC music faculty and we couldn’t be more excited about what this year will bring!

Directed by Mr Gerry O’Callaghan, and supported by several specialist music tutors from the SJC music team, the students were introduced to the sounds and sights of their new instruments, how to follow the conductor and making their first sounds all together as an ensemble.

It’s not too late to join in the fun, with a few availabilities on percussion, clarinet, flute and low brass.
