Kokedamas For Mother's Day

Several years ago we were blessed with the good fortune of working with an SJC mother Amanda (owner of Smellies Florist), who taught students and staff the magical Japanese art form of making Kokedama planters. The process involves using natural products to create the planters, including; moss, hessian, jute and silk string. This year, students from Westcourt continued the annual tradition to create beautiful Parlour Palm Kokedamas for Mother's Day.

New Planter And Tree For The Year 7 Precinct

Incepted by the desire for a vertical garden to enhance the aesthetics in the lower levels of H Block, Sustainability Leaders have been industrious planting out our new planter box and planter pot, located in the Year 7 precinct outside the ICT office. Initial stages for a vertical garden are also underway, with eight trial planter boxes currently being installed. Lotus "Red Flash" has been selected specifically to trail down the sloping walls as it grows.

Bras For Fiji Campaign

I would like to thank all families that donated to the campaign this year. The donations filled a 60L container and will be warmly received by the ladies in Mau Village, Fiji (Viti Levu).
