Safe vehicle drop off and pick up practices

The College is aware that drop-off and pick-up times result in traffic congestion issues, however, we ask parents to be mindful of local residents, other drivers and increased pedestrian traffic around the College.

Please note that council regulations do not permit cars stopping to drop-off or collect students at the school pedestrian crossing within 20 meters before the crossing and 10 meters after the crossing, regardless of whether the traffic is moving or not.  Areas where there are marked yellow lines, are designated no standing zones.  Please do not stop on the road behind parked vehicles for drop-offs or pick-ups as this hinders traffic flow. In these instances, if you stop your car to allow passengers to exit or enter the vehicle, you are considered parked - and can be fined accordingly.

Council Officers do regularly patrol the area and it is obviously a high-traffic area with a lot of students to look out for. Parking on Noble Street and asking students to walk across O'Driscol Oval may assist you in making your school drop-offs smoother and will help keep access roads clear for local traffic.
