Background and History
The St Joseph’s College Geelong Foundation was established in 1995 and has provided the structure for the organisation and administration of the continuing investment raising, fund placement, growth and expenditure programs. St Joseph’s College, Geelong, has grown, over the past 80 years, into one of Victoria’s significant Catholic boys’ Colleges. In the process, generations of young men have achieved personal success within a Christian culture.
Most of the College’s facilities have been made possible through the outstanding generosity of past generations, a combination of Catholic families and the dedication of the Christian Brothers. The need today is equally as great. Some time ago, the College Board and Administration realised that for the College to continue to provide affordable education into the future, the College Community will be required to make a continuing Investment
To provide ongoing financial support to St Joseph’s College to ensure its initiatives can deliver the best Catholic education for boys in Geelong.
The Foundation is a significant stakeholder in the College and is proud to make regular major contributions for quality facility upgrades. These contributions ensure the College’s initiatives can continue to deliver the best Catholic education for boys in the Geelong Region. This level of contribution is achieved by progressing toward the goals and objectives contained within is strategic plan.
The values of the Foundation are directly aligned to those of the College.
- Develop and foster a successful bequest program
- Implement a range of successful initiatives to generate ongoing income
