St Joseph’s has a great history of parental involvement. Parents are wholeheartedly welcome to join or help out in one of the College’s dynamic support groups. This involvement will be personally rewarding.
In addition, the fundraising associated with some events and the funds saved through voluntary work, are essential to the running of the College. Whilst it is understandable that some parents may feel hesitant about being involved in any particular group, contact with current members will convince parents that they can make a real contribution. New parents are especially welcome at the College. Every effort will be made to make you feel at home at St Joseph's.
The Parents and Friends is a large group of mothers and fathers of current and past students, providing social activities as well as being a huge support for major fundraising events and food catering for College functions. The Major Auction in March and Art Expo in October, are two of the main events which are run by the Parents and Friends, raising over $40,000 each year. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month in the College staffroom at 7.30pm.
