Annual Reunion for Year Groups

1969, 1974,1979,1984,1989, 1994, 1999,2004 and 2008

Saturday 30th May 2009

It’s always great to catch up with past friends, especially those you had the pleasure of terrorising teachers with, or winning that elusive school premiership.  The Annual Reunion of 2009 was no exception with over 340 school mates attending the function held on Saturday 31st May at Lamby’s Restaurant and Bar.

The reunion, which recognised the following years: 1969, ‘74, ‘79, ‘84, ‘89, ‘94, ‘99, ‘04 and 2008 gave St Joseph’s College Old Collegians across generations an opportunity to share stories, look at past pictures and reminisce about the good old days at St Joey’s.

The Old Collegians Committee could not have been happier with the response to the 2009 reunion with numbers far exceeding past reunions.  President of the SJOCA Peter Madden (‘73) described the event as a huge success and hoped that those who attended found the night enjoyable and the venue appropriate for the occasion.  Many thanks to Dave McCusker, Dean Bushell, Greg Thompson, Justin O'Brien and Andrew Scaddan for their work on the night.  Without the Old Collegian Committee these events could not be possible.  Any Old Collegians interested in being a part of the SJOCA Committee can contact David Formosa on 5226 8120 or by email davidf@sjc.vic.edu.au.  Currently we have just over 1300 official SJOCA members.

Finally thanks to all of the Convenors for each of the Year Groups.  It was their efforts in rounding up classmates that made the night such a huge success.
