Mr Daniel Bucki-Smith
Board Member

I have lived in Geelong since 1991, having relocated from Melbourne to work at University Hospital, Geelong, where I was employed as the Chief Nuclear Medicine Scientist until mid 2015, when I took up a new position as the manager of Lantheus Medical Imaging Radiopharmacy in Tullamarine, supplying medical isotopes to Victorian hospitals and medical imaging clinics.  We have four children: the eldest, Matthew (SJC 2013) Aleksandra (SHC, 2015) and Charlotte (Year 11) and Tom (Year 10)I grew up in the Melbourne suburb of Blackburn, undertaking my secondary education at St Joseph’s Salesian College, Ferntree Gully for years 7 and 8, and St Leos CBC Box Hill for Years 9 to 12. Following this, I completed a Bachelor of Science degree at Melbourne University (Geology major) followed by a Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Radiations) at RMIT.  My previous Board experience included roles as the Victorian State Secretary of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine, followed by National Secretary and then National President. Since 2008 I have been an enthusiastic, though relatively unskilled, member of the St Joseph’s Men’s Association and I look forward to being able to further serve the College community through the College Board.
