St Joseph’s College seeks to provide opportunities for faith development for members of the College community, to celebrate and commemorate important feasts and events through liturgy, and to examine and make relevant the Edmund Rice Story, especially his focus on the marginalised. We do this by:
- conducting Religious Education classes for students at all year levels
- having a Renewal program for students at all year levels, including a three day retreat for Year 12 students and a Community Service program for Year 11 students
- conducting School and Year Level masses throughout the year
- focussing on different aspects of the Edmund Rice Story at each Year Level
- supporting and praying with families when members are experiencing difficulties or loss
- commemorating important feast days with prayer and celebration
- recognizing the Original Inhabitants of the land on which the school stands
- beginning each staff gathering and each Homeroom meeting with reflection and prayer
